Export Your Data First

Before deleting your account, you can export all your data in JSON format by going to Settings > Export My Data. This includes your profile, friends, catch-ups, borrowings, and reminders.

In-App Deletion (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the app:

1. Open friendkeeper
2. Go to Settings
3. Tap Delete Account
4. Confirm the deletion

This immediately and permanently deletes:

• Your account and phone number
• All server-side data (friends, catch-ups, borrowings, reminders, love sends, reports, notifications, referral bonuses, invite messages, contact hashes, profile, push tokens, and blocked users)
• All locally stored data on your device
• Your analytics identifier
• All scheduled notifications

Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us at support@leftjoinlabs.org. Please include the phone number associated with your account so we can verify your identity. We will process your request and delete all associated data within 30 days.

What Happens to Shared Data?

If you have shared borrowings with other users, your side of the borrowing record will be deleted. The other user's own copy of the borrowing will remain on their account but will no longer be linked to you.
